Named Entity Recognition (NER) is a component of Conversation Designer which deals with Natural Language Understanding. It allows developers to build a model to recognize intents and entities for a given use case.
NER component helps to analyse
the utterances from user and interpret intent and corresponding entities based on trained models. NER can be trained with various utterances, intents and entities. Utterances are the phrases or words typed in by the user in a conversation.
NER
provides various pre-defined entities; with a provision to define custom entities.
