Business Use Cases

The following are the business use cases (BUCs) delivered as part of v6.3 Release:

Independently Deployable Monitoring Packaged Workflow

Monitoring Packaged Workflow is enabled as independently deployable service. Earlier the packaged workflow was only available with SmartOps framework; now it can be deployed as a stand-alone entity.

In addition, Monitoring Packaged Workflow is enabled with following additional features:

UI for managing correlation

Monitoring Packaged Workflow is enabled with a new User Interface for managing correlation. The UI enables to view the topology graph and define correlation parameters. The UI is enabled if “IS Correlation Required” attribute is selected while defining the project configurations.

The Correlation screen enables to create nodes and specify relations, as required. The screen also supports import and export feature for topologies within projects.

iHub Enhancements

SmartOps 6.3 supports integration of Monitoring Packaged Workflow with iHub channel. Currently the functionality is enabled only for Monitoring Packaged Workflow.

Usage of Metric Beat as Monitoring Agent with Rule Engine for Anomaly Detection

SmartOps v6.3.2 enables the usage of Metric Beat as monitoring agent for Rule based Anomaly detection. Monitoring Packaged Workflow uses Metric beat as a monitoring agent for attributes such as CPU and Memory Utilization. Anomalies will be detected based on the threshold values configured in the metric beat.

Improvements to KYC Packaged Workflow

KYC Packaged Workflow is enhanced with the capability to extract data from hand-written forms. This empowers the PWF to extract details of the KYC process from images as well as hand-written forms such as customer application forms.

The KYC PWF process is updated to request the customer (through e-mail) to download the customer application form, fill in the details (hand-written) and reply to the e-mail along with other KYC documents. Package Workflow validates the details of the application form with Identity proof documents for the following fields:

Earlier versions of the KYC Packaged Workflow supported the extraction of data from image/pdf documents uploaded such as Pan Card and Driving License.

The image below depicts the KYC Package Workflow Process. (Enhancements in 6.3.2 Release is highlighted.
