Defining Project Configuration

To configure additional configurations related to a project, perform the following:

  1. Enter the configuration parameters in the Configurations tab of Create Project screen as shown in FigureFigure.

    General Configurations

    Is Correlation Required?

    Whether Correlation is required for the Monitoring project. This field determines whether the enable/disable the Topology icon from the Project Dashboard. “Yes” indicates Topology functionality is required. “No” indicates Topology functionality is not required.

    Duplicate Alert Check Interval (in mins) 

    Duration (in minutes) for checking whether the incomimg alert is a duplicate of any existing alert.

    Open Ticket Check Interval (in mins) 

    Duration (in minutes) for checking if any ticket has been opened for an impacted system.

    Monitoring Exclusions Fields

    Fields to be excluded from Alert duplicate check. All fields will be considered as new if unchecked.

    Ticket Status Update Configuration

    Ticket Status Track Duration (in hours)

    Duration (in hours) for tracking ticket status. This field enables to retrieve status updates of tickets for last ‘n’ hours. For example: If the value is defined as 24 hours, tickets modified in the last 24 hours will be considered.

    Active Ticket Check Interval (in mins)

    Duration (in mins) for tracking active tickets. This field enables to retrieve tickets with any activity for last ‘n’ minutes. For example: If the value is 15 minutes, tickets with any activity for the last 15 minutes will be marked as active in the monitoring. Remaining tickets will be considered as ‘Inactive’. This data is used for monitoring purpose. Monitoring state for the ‘Closed’ tickets will be marked as inactive.

     

    Schedule Interval for Ticket Status Update (Use 6-digit cron)

    Frequency at which ticket status needs to be checked. For example: 10 am (each day). Based on this configuration a scheduled workflow will run and fetch the ticket status and update the details to monitoring database.  

  2. Click Save to save the project configurations. On successful configuration, you will be navigated to Channel Configuration tab of Create Project screen.
